Membership Categories ?

UWM –AR shall have three membership categories

5.1 .1 Ministries:
The membership of UWM-AR shall include those Unity ministries, traditional or alternative, that are located in any country within the African continent, and operating in accordance with the standards outlined in UWM-AR Policy Manual. The Board of Trustees shall determine what constitutes a ministry eligible for membership. Membership may be requested by any applicant ministry upon filing a written request with UWM-AR. Approval shall require satisfaction of qualifications established by the Board of Trustees.
5.1.2 Credentialed Unity Leaders
The membership of UWM-AR shall include all credentialed leaders recorded listed on the official database of UWM-AR. Credentialed Leaders are:
– Unity ministers who are living in Africa and/or serving ministries in Africa or African ministers, in diaspora who have filed their “Annual Membership Renewal Form” with UWM-AF.
– Licensed Unity Teachers who are associated with a UWM-AR member Ministry, or African LUTs in diaspora, and are currently in the filing of their “Annual Membership Renewal Form”.
5.1.3 Unity Laity
Unity Laity are: Any Unity person within the African continent or diaspora that shares the vision and mission of UWM-AR.
The Board of Trustees shall determine what constitutes a lay person eligible for membership. Approval shall require satisfaction of qualification established by the Board of Trustees.

 

5.1.4 All membership categories have to be in good standing with UWM-AR in alignment with Unity Worldwide Ministries, its parent organisation.5.2 Terms of Membership.
5.2.1 An annual membership fee, determined by the Board of Trustees from time to time, is payable upon renewal of membership.
5.2.2 Annual Membership Renewal: Each year, notification of the Annual General Meeting shall include a response form allowing members to indicate an intention to re-affirm membership in the UWM-AR or voluntarily release their membership.
5.2.3 Contact Information. The response form will show the member’s current contact information and allow an opportunity for the member to update this information.
5.2.4 Lay Delegates. For member ministries, the response form will show the names of the ministry’s current lay delegates and allow the ministry to update this information.
5.2.5 Non-Response. Non-response is considered equivalent to releasing membership voluntarily. If no response is received from a member within thirty (30) days, a member will be contacted before he/she is made inactive.
5.2.6 A member shall retain membership until said member releases membership voluntarily or no longer meets the qualifications for membership as described in this Constitution.
5.2.7 Reactivation of Membership: An inactive member may re-activate their membership, provided they meet the qualification for membership as determined by the Board of Trustees.
5.2.8 The Board shall have the authority to establish policies governing the process for removing members who fail to fulfil the responsibilities or requirements for membership or who may in any way fail to maintain the standards of UWM-AR as required by this constitution and the applicable Code of Ethics.
